Where do these prices come from?
AWS Fargate us-east-1 Linux rates as of July 2026: x86 $0.04048/vCPU-hr and $0.004445/GB-hr; ARM $0.03238/vCPU-hr and $0.00356/GB-hr. Windows and ephemeral storage are excluded.
Does this include ECS/EKS control plane?
No — this covers Fargate compute only. EKS cluster hourly fees, Application Load Balancers, and NAT/data transfer are billed separately.
What about Fargate Spot?
Select Fargate Spot in step 2 for an approximate 70% discount vs On-Demand. Spot prices fluctuate and tasks can be interrupted — use only for fault-tolerant workloads.
How does Compute Savings Plan discount work?
We apply a directional 17% reduction to vCPU and memory when checked — actual SP rates depend on term, payment option, and utilization.
Minimum task size?
Fargate enforces minimum 0.25 vCPU and platform-specific memory ratios. This UI uses practical minimums for web/API workloads.
